Study trombone at the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University
The Trombone Area at Indiana University (IU) is comprised of students from the studios of Professors Peter Ellefson, Brittany Lasch, and Denson Paul Pollard. Students from all degrees and levels perform in the numerous ensembles at the Jacobs School, all of which require placement auditions held at the beginning of each semester. Students at IU in the Trombone Area also participate in chamber music, individual studio classes, and area trombone classes (all three studios together). Trombone Choir, directed by Dr. Lasch, is also open to all trombone majors by audition.

Visit the Brass Department website for more information about the degrees offered at Jacobs. Students interested in studying with me may contact me through this website or at my IU email : blasch at iu.edu. I’m happy to answer any questions you might have about applying and attending IU.
